Photo: Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand in ‘The Guilt Trip’

Yes, a post about a movie starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand. No, that is not a pig flying outside but if it is please save me a wing. A photo has been released for this movie that’s coming out on Christmas Day and if somehow you’re spending your Christmas doing anything other than watching Django Unchained then this will be an…option.

A traveling salesman Seth Rogen talks his mother (Barbra Steisand) into heading out on the road with him so that he can, unbeknownst to her, reunite her with a former fling in this Paramount Pictures comedy. The Proposal’s Anne Fletcher directs from a script by Dan Fogelman. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

Iron Man 3 filming delayed due to injury of Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. is a hard working individual. The guy barely had enough time to bask in the success of the Avengers flick before he had to suit back up and get back to work for the next Iron Man installment that’s been filming for the last few weeks. Well it seems that he had a bit of a mishap on the set of the film and suffered an injury which will delay filming of the film while he recovers.

“Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”

Oddly enough, in chatting with Downey Jr. at Comic-Con last month, he said the following about participating in dangerous stunts himself:

“Well I don’t know. I just said while I’m physically able I’d like to leave it all on the field and I’d like there to be ten moments where people wonder how I was stupid enough to actually do that stunt. Most of all me.”

Wow. The general assumption is that he sprained his ankle or something which would prohibit him from participating in any scenes that involve a good amount of movement which is understandable. A little bummed out but it also excites me to see the finished product.
Please feel Better and get well soon Mr. Downey Jr.

Red Band Trailer #2: The Man with the Iron Fists

This is a little unexpected but it seems that the RZA, of the Wu Tang Clan, has made effort to release another trailer for his interesting and exciting looking film “The Man with the Iron Fists” to send us off into the weekend. How lovely. Maybe we can get another flying eyeball? Let’s see…

Brilliantly bloody and violent. This isn’t the type of film I expect to see vying for Academy attention but this may be the best looking mindless action popcorn flick of the summer, with the only problem it has being that  it’s not releasing in the summer. I have interest in seeing this motley crew of talent come together and my interest for assessing RZA as a director is unmeasurable but so far he’s leaning more on the favorable side then the negative.

Trailer and Poster: Seven Psychopaths

If you’ve not had your fill of Colin Farrell, or Woody Harrelson, or Christopher Walken or any of the other 7 psychopaths than you’re in luck as we just discovered new character posters, a trailer, and an official synopsis for the film that’s releasing in October of this year! Wow, you’re lucky.

An alcoholic screenwriter (Colin Farrell) struggling to write a serial-killer script gets more real-life inspiration than he can handle when a dognapping scheme gone awry brings a galaxy of crazies to his doorstep. A top-notch cult-movie cast — including Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Tom Waits, Harry Dean Stanton-anchors this wacky, blood-spattered commentary on the psycho-killer thriller from the writer-director of In Bruges.

Dredd’s behind the scenes featurette

I’m growing increasingly anxious for this film to be released after all the good Comic Con 2012 buzz for this film and to help either whet my appetite or send me into a minor frenzy a new featurette for the film as we grow closer to the release of this film. Check out the cast and crew gushing over the movie below:

Four New Alex Cross photos

Alex Cross is a film that I’m apprehensively optimistic about. I get the dislike for Tyler Perry, I do, but something tells me that beneath the exterior lies potential. He knows a thing or two about making the unexpected succesful and with him climbing out of his comfort zone to scoop the Alex Cross role from under Idris Elba’s tight grip it gives us the opportunity to determine if there’s any validity to that potential to be a appreciable actor outside of his self-created films. A few new images from the film have been released showcasing Perry and his co-star Matthew Fox for us to enjoy and ponder.

Too early to tell how things will turn out but I will give Perry credit for giving what looks to be his best effort of looking like a badass with a shotgun. We’ll see…
